Conferences on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday will be from 1:30-3:00 p.m.. On Wednesday, January 25th, the conference times have changed to 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Please check your child's grades on OnCourse and schedule a conference if they have a grade below 80.

Reading Logs and Activities

Parents, please double check your child's homework. Their reader responses should be 1 paragraph long which is 5-7 sentences. They will be marked down for not doing the responses correctly. Also, if their reader activity is to draw a picture, the picture should be labeled and/or explained along with the number they are doing from the Reader's Activity packet.
Please keep in mind that this now counts as a HOMEWORK and TEST grade.
Thank you.

Important Announcement

Students in all of my classes will be taking the Benchmark test on Monday, November 14. This test will be one part of deciding how students will be placed next school year.

Important Announcement

Hi All, please check your class page to see an important announcement about Reading Logs and Reader Response's.

Stargirl Novel (PDF)

Students began reading the novel Stargirl today. The PDF is here for any student who was absent and needs to read the chapter(s) they missed. It's here for any student who would like to re-read the chapters read in class. Students can also use the novel on the class site to continue working on vocabulary or questions that they were unable to finish in class.

Reader Response Activity

Students are to complete one activity each week. This assignment ties in with their reading log and is part of the homework assignment that will be graded. Students should NOT repeat activities as there are more than 100 to complete.

Reading Log- HW

Students are to read for two hours every two weeks. This means that one week they will read for one hour and the following week for another hour. Reading logs are to be completed, including parent signature.
